Milwaukee man hopes to find kidney donor with car advertisement

More than 2,000 people in Wisconsin sit waiting to hear if they'll get an organ from the donor registry.

Most of those are waiting for kidneys. And while you can register to give your organs when you die, the Blood Center of Wisconsin said not enough people are registered to be a living donor.

"Somebody who needs a transplant will die without an organ," said Greg Asmus, the Hospital Supervisor for Organ Tissue Transfer.

He said this month, during Donate Life Month, they're encouraging people to learn about donation, which you can do here.
