Teen's tragic death helps save stranger's life

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX/WTTE) -- One person can potentially save the lives of eight people, and enhance the lives of 50 more, just by being an organ donor.

Sydnee Williams, a 17-year-old from Gahanna, signed up to be an organ donor when she got her driver's license a few years ago.

It was a decision that would ultimately save the life of Upper Arlington City Manager Ted Staton.

"It would be less than truthful for me to say I haven't experienced guilt about it," said Staton.

"That my gain was at someone else's significant loss."
