Tragic dad helped save FOUR lives by donating organs after his death

Fun-loving Jason Massey, whose organs were donated to four patients in need of transplants after he died.

The family of a Black Country dad who saved four lives by donating his organs after he died battling meningitis are encouraging people to join the Organ Donor Register.

Father-of-five Jason Massey, 41, died in 2014 a few hours after contracting the disease.

As he was on the organ register, his kidneys, liver and heart saved the lives of four patients in desperate need of transplants.

Now widow Ann, eldest daughter Danielle and his parents Carol and Pete will be urging people to sign up when they attend an event at Russells Hall Hospital, in Brierley Hill, where he died.

The awareness day on Monday will also be attended by the Mayor and Mayoress of Dudley.

“Jason was on the Organ Donor Register and knowing that he was able to donate his kidneys, liver and heart has helped us come to terms with our grief,” said Carol, a retired nurse. Continue reading
