Walk raises money for National Kidney Foundation

Roughly 500 people spent their Saturday morning helping to raise money for the National Kidney Foundation as the NKF held their fifth annual "Footprints in the Sand" Kidney Walk on Cocoa Beach on Saturday.

The NKF hoped to raise $40,000 from the event, per their website and they undoubtedly also hoped to raise awareness about organ donations.

"We want more people to think about donating organs, not less people, and this will encourage it," said U.S. Congressman Bill Posey of Rockledge.
