Two stories that appeared in the Register during the last seven days speak volumes about the importance of organ donation — whether that donation comes from a living donor or a donor who is deceased.
State Senate President Pro Tempore Martin M. Looney revealed to the public that he needs a kidney transplant and his search to obtain the organ has begun.
