Family: Teen killed in fall donating organs to ‘give life to others’

SILVERDALE, Wash. – A Silverdale teen died Saturday after falling off a ladder at a construction site.

The girl, 16, was airlifted to Tacoma General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Authorities said the girl, who fell from a “significant height,” died shortly afterward.

She was identified Sunday by the Pierce County medical examiner as Emily Ramm. According to her father, John Ramm, Emily was with a group of friends when the incident occurred.

John said the group was looking for a place to watch the Perseid meteor shower. Emily is survived by six siblings.

According to the GoFundMe page, Ramm suffered a severe brain injury and numerous fractures from the fall.

Ramm was an organ donor. Both her kidney’s and her liver were donated, the family said on page. Continue reading
