Woman set to run race in honor of late father

Kathy Seim will race in the 44th Annual Falmouth Road Race Sunday in memory of her father David Seim. Seim will run with the New England Organ Bank team, who will all sport these ‘Organ Donors Save Lives’ T-shirts during the race.

A Rensselaer County native is set to run in the 44th Annual Falmouth Road Race Sunday, Aug. 21 in order to raise funds and awareness for organ donation.

Kathy Seim will participate as part of the New England Organ Bank team in loving memory of her father, David Seim, who passed away suddenly in January 2014 from the effects of a massive stroke.

Falmouth Road Race is a 7 mile course on Cape Cod, Mass. which begins in Woods Hole and finishes in Falmouth Heights.

The NEOB team consists of 27 athletes who will sport ‘Organ Donors Save Lives’ running shirts in order to publicize the importance of organ and tissue donation, and to urge those watching the popular race to consider registering to become donors themselves. Continue reading
