DMV is key to promoting organ donation

Nearly 3 million Wisconsinites have registered as organ, tissue and eye donors, and 98 percent of them said “yes” at a Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles Service Center. To show gratitude for the monumental role the DMV plays in saving and improving lives through donation, Donate Life Wisconsin is celebrating DMV appreciation week Sept. 19-23.

For 25 years, Wisconsin’s 450 DMV customer service representatives have been on the front lines of empowering people to register as donors. The DMV and Donate Life Wisconsin are close partners working together to foster a culture of donation so that the decision to donate is as natural as buckling your seat belt. Continue reading
