Green Chair’ spotlights organ donation


On April 13, Life Connection of Ohio will partner with the Fulton County Health Center to raise awareness and educate the community about organ, eye and tissue donation through the Green Chair Campaign.

The Green Chair will be in the lobby from 8 a.m. April 13 to 8 a.m. April 14. Sharon Reddington RN, BSN, FCHC’s manager of staff development and nurse recruitment, said the goal of the Green Chair Campaign is to spotlight the many different people affected by organ, eye, and tissue donation; recipients, donor families, and those waiting for a transplant; and the families of those who died waiting.

The Green Chair is an invitation to anyone who has been touched by organ, eye, and tissue donation to take a seat and share their story. It is intended to be a symbol of hope and encouragement — that as the number of registered donors increases, the fewer empty chairs there will be. Continue reading
