Local woman is a kidney match for 8-year-old boy

JANESVILLE, Wis. (WMTV) -- According to UW Health, there are nearly 2,200 people in Wisconsin waiting for a life-saving organ transplant. More than half of those people are waiting for a kidney.

Earlier this year, we told you about an eight-year-old boy who needed a kidney transplant and a local woman is a match.

8-year-old Jackson Arneson has known his whole life, he would need a kidney transplant. His mom Kristi Goll says it's a parents worst nightmare, knowing your child is sick and knowing you can't do anything about it but wait.

"It was probably the worst time, not knowing,” said Goll.
