May is Older Americans Month

Donate Life
May is Older Americans Month, an important time to address myths surrounding age and health that prevent many older Americans from registering as organ, eye, and tissue donors. We ask that you help us communicate the importance of registering as a donor regardless of age. Educate your employees, coworkers, family and associates by sending this graphic and message encouraging them to register and promote donor registration.

In 2016, 61% of people who received transplants were over the age of 50, while only 33% of organ donors were over the age of 50. We need more 50+ adults to register as organ donors to help cover the shortage of organs available for transplant. Please help spread the word that anyone of any age can register to be an organ, eye, and tissue donor. Share these messages on social media with your friends and family:
  • Not in perfect health? Don't rule yourself out! Anyone can register as an organ donor regardless of age or medical condition. Learn more at organdonor.gov
  • Anyone of any age has the potential to save 8 lives and improve the quality of life for as many as 50+ others. Learn more at organdonor.gov
