Nassau County 24-year-old hit by car lives on through organ donation

A 24-year-old who was hit by a car in Fernandina Beach and later died is living on through organ donation, his father says.

Joshua Frazier was walking to work on Sadler Road on June 19 when he was hit by a car.

He was taken to UF Health Jacksonville.

“They did a few brain tests to see how much brain damage and they

said he was brain-dead,” his father, Don Frazier, said.

Sunday would have been Joshua Frazier’s 25th birthday.

Instead of a celebration, his family got together for a memorial. They left a balloon and flowers near the spot where he was hit.

“He was loved by so many of his friends and family -- his job,” Don Frazier said. “I want him remembered by that.” Continue reading
