Lifeline of Ohio spreads word about Transplant Games with torch run


MARIETTA, Ohio (WTAP) The Marietta Middle School track team ran nearly two miles Friday, but it wasn't part of their usual practice.

The team carried the Lifeline of Ohio Transplant Games torch from the middle school to Marietta Memorial Hospital and passed it off to a heart transplant recipient.

The Transplant Games will be held in June in Cleveland this year.

As a way to promote the event and get the word out about organ and tissue donation, Lifeline of Ohio is doing torch runs across the state. Continue reading
